Why We Created This
Mental health and cancer—while not always directly connected—seem to touch nearly every life.
In our own family, the impact has been profound.
My mother has battled severe mental illness for years.
My wife’s biological mother passed away from ovarian cancer.
And my father, facing stage 4 metastasized prostate cancer, tragically took his own life.
Mental health struggles have affected multiple members of our extended family—and we’re far from alone.
Since 2000, at least six of our friends or close contacts have faced breast or testicular cancer. These diseases, closely tied to sexual and reproductive health, are both pervasive and devastating.
One of the most powerful tools we have? Education.
Awareness leads to early detection, more open conversations, and ultimately, better outcomes.
From Pain to Purpose
In 2024, we started brainstorming how we could give back—how to turn personal loss into meaningful action.
We didn’t want to just write a check. We wanted to create something fun, memorable, and impactful.
One night, as we reflected on our past, we laughed about an old party game from the early 2000s—one that sparked hilarious and sometimes revealing conversations among friends.
That moment of nostalgia sparked an idea.
What if we used humor to open the door to harder conversations?
What if a fun, light-hearted product could also raise awareness about serious issues—like mental health and cancers related to sexual and reproductive health?
And so, the Celebrity Laminated Card was born.
It’s a way to connect, to laugh, and to give back.
